Tuition
includes: FAA
Computer Knowledge Test fee, FAA Practical Exam fee, all supplies
(including all textbooks and Sheffield School's Comprehensive
5-week
Aircraft Dispatcher Training Manual), any extra tutoring requested,
use of a computer workstation for SkyWest's inhouse flight planning
and weather briefing system, temporary SkyWest identification
card, and an informal interview guarantee to all graduates scoring
85% or better. Graduates who complete the course successfully,
interview successfully, and complete a background/drug test,
will be placed in a hiring pool for possible future employment.*
ALL graduates will receive Sheffield's free job placement assistance
as well as an individual user ID and password to access our
secure web pages. All graduates of our St. George, UT course
will also be entitled to receive free lifetime recurrent training
at our Ft. Lauderdale, Florida facility. You also qualify to
enroll in our "Sheffield Graduates Only"
International
and ETOPS
courses if you desire.

Students
will also be able to observe SkyWest dispatchers at work during
their shift since the classroom and Operational Control Center
are in the same building! Dispatchers and Trainers will
also be available to speak to the class.

Our
program is FAA approved for 200 hours. Classes are held from
8:00 am until 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday at the SkyWest
training facility in St. George, Utah. Computer labs are usually
scheduled after 4:00 pm. The duration of the course is 5 weeks.
The FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Knowledge Test is usually
administered during the first half of the course and the FAA
Practical Exam is administered following successful completion
of the course and after passing the ADX Knowledge Test.
